Sakaiza Kely of Sunny Nest and
Tsaratanana of Da Silva

Sakaiza just  8 weeks old, posing for the camera.  Sakaiza has always been a ham and loves to be the center of attention.

Tsara at 8 weeks old - she was born black and white.  Her coloring faded in places to a camel color.  She has had a puppy with her coloring in almost every litter.  They would start out pitch black and white and gradually turn into a tri-color.  AND she has these wonderful big eyes .  We call her "America's Sweetheart" and she is.
Sakaiza Kely in Malagasy means "little friend"  Sakaiza means friend and Kely means small or little.  Sakaiza was our very 1st coton.  We were on waiting lists for over 2 years before we finally got the call from a breeder that she had the perfect puppy for us.
Tsaratanana is the name of the highest mountain range in Madagascar.  When I found Tsara I knew instantly from her picture she would become a "high point" or very important part of my life.  She was the very 1st coton to have a litter of 8 puppies - all healthy and she did it again, so 2 litters of 8 and then a litter of 7.  She is featured in Jay Russell's "Coton Book" on CD Rom with her 1st litter of 8 puppies.  She is our wondergirl and is always ready for a 5 mile hike.  She knows the UPS truck and "calls" to him if we see him about town - she knows where the good dog cookies can be found.  She has been the best mom ever.  Sakaiza is now 12 years old and Tsara is 11 years old.  Both have been neutered/spayed at about 8 years old and are happily retired to the foot of our bed.  However, they are always ready for a walk, a drive in the car (ANYWHERE) or zoom around the yard and still love to jump up into our arms.
Let's Go!!!!!  Here are all 4 ready to go!  l - r  Tantely, Mocha (in back), Tsara and Sakaiza /2008
